Daniel 7:2-14

Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,

In every age, from the time when the foundations of the world were lain, evil has the power for a while, to do its worst. We see this in our own time. It would seem that never has there been such unprecedented, such unparalleled wickedness as there is in this age. Reason and common sense are looked at with pure hatred for it threatens their evil agenda to blur the lines completely between what is true and the totally bizarre.

The four immense beasts in Daniel's vision during the dark night are demons of violence, and death that ruthlessly crushes and destroys all that is decent, innocent, pure, and good. It feverishly goes about deliberately seeking to annihilate people of conscience and right thinking. It is hard to comprehend the depths to which depravity can sink and when it would seem that evil cannot sink any lower it finds newer depths of insanity that boggle the mind.

While it would seem Beloved, that there is no hope for the remnant, it is not so for God is keeping watch over His creation, and He will not permit evil to have the last word. For the Word has been spoken and victory has been declared despite the lies of Satan and his minions. We have hope because the Father has given You, "Dominion, glory, and kingship; nations and peoples of every language serve You.
Your dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall not be taken away, Your kingship shall not be  destroyed."

Daniel 3:75:81

Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,

It is no wonder that You tell us over and over again in the Gospels, "Be not afraid." Those who belong to You have no reason to fear. No matter how high the waves of evil crash against the sturdy pillars of our faith and of the Church You founded, it will stand, for You are its cornerstone and nothing can prevail against the Word of the Almighty God. Ours is a faith that the darkness cannot put out no matter how ferociously it tries. You have won the victory. Everything that lives and breathes gives You praise, glory, honor, worship, and adoration forever.

Give glory and eternal praise to Him:

"Mountains and hills, bless the Lord;
praise and exalt him above all forever."

"Everything growing from the earth, bless the Lord;
praise and exalt him above all forever.

"You springs, bless the Lord;
praise and exalt him above all forever."

"Seas and rivers, bless the Lord;
praise and exalt him above all forever."

"You dolphins and all water creatures, bless the Lord;
praise and exalt him above all forever."

"All you birds of the air, bless the Lord;
praise and exalt him above all forever."

"All you beasts, wild and tame, bless the Lord;

praise and exalt him above all forever."

Luke 21:29-33

Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,

Thank you for Your Word of wisdom today. Were it not for Your constant assurance that all these things must take place because the end is drawing near we would have lost hope long ago and fallen by the wayside. You ask us to be vigilant, to be on guard, for evil and death approach like a thief in the night but You assure us that they cannot take us by surprise if we are awake. Evil in the world is very real. We would be wise to be aware that it surrounds us like a pall that suffocates and destroys. Evil kills. Evil destroys everything in its wake and ultimately will destroy itself. Life on the other hand is fruitful, its source is the Lord of Life and it is kept alive by You and is sustained by You and Your Holy Spirit. There is no need to lose heart for we who believe know that death has been defeated and the victory is won.

You foretold that life as the Jews of Your time knew it would be forever destroyed and so it was. You came to usher in a new dawn, a new age, the age of the Holy Spirit and He will guide us through grace received through the power of the Sacraments, safely on the paths that lead to life and to the Kingdom.
