I give you a new commandment, says the Lord:
love one another as I have loved you. Jn 13:34

Exodus 12:1-8, 11-14

My soul's beloved, from the moment our first parents sinned in Eden the consequences of that sin reverberated through all creation and severing forever oure relationship with God. It was a sin committed by choice despite all they knew of the father, despite the fact that the god of love walked with them every evening in the cool of the garden, they chose to believe Satan rather than the God they knew had created them and loved them.  The consequences of sin is separation from God and enslavement to sin the sinner is no longer free because he or she is the servant of the flesh, the devil and the world their appetites are insatiable and can only lead to destruction and ruin.

The God of love could not, would not let sin have the last word and so we see in the Passover God showing us how a lamb, perfectly formed would become the means by which our relationship with Him could be restored again. The Blood of the Lamb sprinkled on every household, on the lintel and doorposts would protect all those within that household to be saved from death.

Today, as we enter the Easter Triduum, Your Church recalls, just as the Jews do that first Passover, how God through You His well beloved Son, saved us. Innocence, Beauty, Purity, and Love entered into the depths of human wickedness and evil and recovered and restored to the Father what what Adam and Eve had so wantonly carelessly and callously lost.

Psalm 116:12-13, 15-18

My soul's beloved, today we are reminded that our coming together at every Eucharistic celebration is not optional, it is a command of love that we have communion as members of Your Body. We are instructed to continue what You did at the Last Supper as a memorial until You come again. The Cup of Salvation is the Chalice of Your Blood which has the power to cleanse from all sin and to restore to eternal life. All the faithful who die at the end of their earthly life take it up again anew in the Kingdom of God. At every Holy Mass we recall how the Blood of the Lamb that was slain set us free from slavery to sin. Thank You my Beloved for this season of Lent when every year we recall what You did for us and the price that was paid for our freedom.

 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

My soul's beloved, Your Church will never cease to proclaim, through the Eucharistic celebration, what You have done for us and what Your Sacrifice accomplished for all humanity. Today, Maundy Thursday, we recall what You did on the night You were betrayed and delivered into the hands of sinners, You instituted the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist and the Sacrament of the Priesthood so we could eat Your Flesh and drink Your Blood in order to receive Your Life in abundance. It is the Sacrifice of our Salvation, it is the Cup of the New Covenant sealed in Your Blood and we will continue to celebrate this Memorial until You come again in glory to restore all things to the Eternal Father.

John 13:1-15

My soul's beloved, at the perfection of Your Manhood You were the Lamb without stain or blemish who had finally arrived at the hour when You would be handed over to evil. But there were yet monumental acts of love that were first to be made - acts of love that would remain as long as time. Eternal signs of Your unfathomable love that was loath to leave us orphans. You washed the feet of Your disciples, You instituted the two great Sacraments the Priesthood and the Holy Eucharist - the first would ensure that we would always find forgiveness through the supreme act of Sacrifice made for us on the Cross and the second that through the supreme act of Sacrifice made for us on the Cross You would break Your Body like Bread in order to feed us. As the Father fed the people of Israel with manna in the desert so would You feed us with the heavenly Manna. The first a foreshadowing of the second.

You washed the feet of the disciples to show us how we are to serve one another in love. Ready to stoop low and minister to one another in compassion and mercy. Always ready to forgive and love anew.  You have shown us the Way and You instruct us to walk in it.
