The Word of God became flesh and dwelt among us.
To those who accepted him,
he gave power to become children of God.  JOhn 1: 14a, 12a

Isaiah 49:3, 5-6, Psalm 40: 2, 4, 7-10, 1 Corinthians 1:1-3, John 1:29-34

Isaiah 49:3, 5-6

My soul's beloved, You are God, the Son of God, and yet You are so humble. You consider Yourself a Servant of God because Your love Your Father and desire to do nothing but please Him. This is why when He sent You into the world made incarnate in the womb of Mary chosen to repeal the terrible wrong of original sin which separated Creator from created. Of all the nations Israel was chosen as the people of God from whom would come the Savior of the world to restore what disobedience had lost. The Father made You who are God from God and Light from Light, true God from true God to become the Light to the nations so that all may be saved and come to the knowledge of truth. What is the truth? That God loves us and He loves us to the end.

Psalm 40: 2, 4, 7-10

My soul's beloved, to do the will of Your Father was food and drink to You. You desired nothing more than submitting, yielding to His will. We can never know the extent of Your anguish at being separated from Your Father and in obedience to His will leaving heaven to walk among us as one of us. Yet Your response as always been, "Here am I, Lord; I come to do your will.  You became the ultimate Sacrifice paying the price for our sins and iniquities. You became the holocaust for our sins because You were sinless and therefore Your life in exchange for ours was the only price acceptable for our redemption.

We are called to learn from You who are meek and humble of heart. We must walk in humility, we must seek Your will in all things and we must be obedient always seeking to do what is right, good, and true rather than giving in to our own base instincts.

Thank You for bringing us justice before God. Thank You for revealing to us the extent of the Father's love. Thank You for showing us the way back to the Father's House.

1 Corinthians 1:1-3

My soul's beloved, Paul reminds us that we who belong to the Church, which is Your Body, are sanctified in Your Blood and therefore we are called to be holy as God Himself is holy. We proclaim that You are our Lord, You are the Christ, the Anointed of the Father and because we are born again in You of water, Fire and the Holy Spirit, grace and peace is poured into our soul, our heart and our lives by the Father through You. We receive in abundance every good and perfect gift from God our Father  in and through You.

John 1:29-34

My soul's beloved, John the Baptist also teaches us humility. He teaches us to recognize the truth and to proclaim it. He teaches us not to claim for ourselves a glory that is not rightfully ours but which belongs to You alone. We are called to point out to You and proclaim that You are the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and that there is salvation in no other but in You. We must recognize our limitations, our unworthiness, and know that only You have the power to save us and to restore to us what was lost. In baptism You make us children of God and co-heirs with You to the Kingdom of God. John knew that You are God and existed eternally.

When You stood in line with sinners to be baptized by John, You identified with us sinners so we would not be afraid to approach You who are sinless. You shared in our baptism so we could share in Your Resurrection. We have John's that what he was told how he would know that You were sent by God. He would see the Spirit come down and remain on You and God the Father Himself would testify that You are indeed His Son in whom He was well pleased.
