DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS
1 Peter 1:3-9, Psalm 111:1-2, 5-6, 9-10, Mark 10:17-27
1 Peter 1:3-9
My soul’s beloved, St. Peter reminds us that we are given
new life and a living hope because the Father raised You from death to life.
All believers receive an inheritance that is worth far more than anything the
world has to offer – for the things of earth fade, corrupt, and pass away but
the gift of God is eternal.
The Holy Spirit poured into our hearts enables us to be steadfast in faith. The life of God in our souls makes it
possible to withstand all trials for He gives us courage to endure. With the
eyes of faith we keep our gaze fixed on You and we are promised that because we
believe in You we will receive joy beyond our imagining. The Holy Spirit will
ensure that all who endure to the end will receive an eternal reward. Eternity eternally
in union with God.
Psalm 111:1-2, 5-6, 9-10
My soul’s beloved, we who believe and have placed all are
hope and trust in You, thank You always and when we gather together as members
of the Church we offer You our worship. Thank You for Your work of redemption,
salvation and Your ongoing work of sanctification through Your Holy Spirit. We
thank our Father for making a Covenant of Love with us through You who is
always before Him constantly reminding Him of the price paid to save us from
the jaws of death. Grant us wisdom and a holy fear and keep us close to Your
Heart always.
