Proverbs 31:10-13, 19-20, 30-31

My Beloved, we have the example of so many saintly women who are a perfect example of the woman spoken of in these verses beginning with the ideal Woman Your Mother.

This woman describes what every wife and mother must aspire to be.  A wife that her husband honors, loves and delights in not only because she cares for him, their children  and their home but because is also godly and virtuous. Industrious and kind. Generous and loving.

Help me Lord! I know I fail in so many ways and fall far far short of the ideal but You make grace available to me each day and I have no excuse for not striving with Your help to be holy and perfect.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-6

My Lord, for each one of us the 'Day of the Lord' will arrive we know not when but You give us ample warning that we must be always prepared.  It should not take us by surprise because we are children of the Light who walk in the Truth of Your Word and live by faith in You.

Darkness holds no terrors for us because we live always aware of Your loving, watchful gaze upon us and we are guided and directed by our Holy  Spirit.

Matthew 25:14-30

My Beloved, You revealed all that Your Father wanted You to and You gave us Your Church and Your Holy Spirit so we may understand the immense treasure You have given us to receive and draw upon during the time allotted to us before we are summoned to render an account of what we have received as trust.

To each is given according to our capability and so we ought not to envy those whom we perceive to have greater or more significant gifts that our own.  We are given that which God wants us to have and we ought to be satisfied and use these gifts to its maximum potential thereby getting the best value for them.

It is the spiritually lazy who if they are not careful and ignore God's call to use all He has given them wisely and well then when the time arrives and we stand before You as our Judge, You will exact a strict rendering of what we did with all the time and grace that was granted to us to use our talents and to reap our eternal reward.
