“God himself will provide the lamb for the sacrifice.”
Genesis 22:1b-18

My Beloved, when God calls and we hear and respond as Abraham did, @Here I am.@ It is an indication that we are ready and willing to do whatever it is that He requires of us.

One can only  imagine the great sorrow that weighed on the heart of the old dad Abraham as he prepared to obey God and offer his only son in sacrifice to God as He had commanded him to.  Through this only son God had promised him descendants as many as the stars in the firmament and grains of sand on the shore.  He believed that God would be faithful to His promise despite the fact that He now asked for the sacrifice of his only child.

My Beloved, we glimpse here a little of what our Father, (Abouna) experienced when He sent You, His only Son into the world to be bound by our sings and offered up as the perfect and only acceptable sacrifice that would fee us from the yoke of slavery to the world, flesh and the devil.

He did not stay His hand against Himself as He did for Abraham. The Father placed the Cross on Your shoulders and through it all He was with One with You.  Although His heart broke at asking such a great sacrifice for the sake of His unworthy, sinful children whom He loves to distraction.

Thank You Father, thank You my Beloved, thank You O Holy Spirit   I offer You a grateful heart..

Psalm 115:1-9

Father, Son and Holy Spirit, all glory, honor and praise belong to You alone.  We glorify Your Name and raise it high above the earth as we exalt You.

Thank You for Your love and Your faithfulness to us, wretched, unworthy sinners.

The pagan can never say to us, "Where is their God?" For God our Father is with us in His Son and makes His dwelling place through His Spirit in our Body.

Abouna, although You live in unapproachable light You make Yourself accessible and tangible to us in Jesus.  You desired that Your only Son be given up to death in order that we may live.  Such is our God who becomes Food for our souls, who is the Way to the Father's house and so we will not lose our way.  His Light which shines through His Holy Spirit guides our steps.

Our God has hands that were nailed to the Cross and feet that walked the dusty roads through towns and villages and which dragged, and stumbled and gave way under the crushing weight of the Cross were finally nailed on it for us.  Our God has a mouth that speaks words of Life and Love.

WE DO HAVE AN AWESOME GOD!

Matthew 9:1-8

My Beloved, sin is powerless against You.  Even if it paralyses us and we have been bound to evil, if we came to You, or pray for those bound to sin, You can and will release with just a word.

We believe Lord that You have the power to forgive sins and this power You have handed down to Your priests in Your Church.  When they forgive our sins our sins are also forgiven by You in heaven. By the Blood of the Lamb we are washed from the bloody stains of sin and we stand, walk and run with the freedom that belongs to the redeemed children of God.
