Romans 1:1-7, Luke 11:29-32, Psalm 98:1-4

Daily Mass Readings:  Romans 1:1-7, Luke 11:29-32, Psalm 98:1-4

Romans 1:1-7

My Beloved, I am called to mission.  I am called to recognize the dignity as well as the urgency of the call to spread God's message of the Good News of our salvation.  Each one of the amazing promises foretold in the Old Testament, through the prophets have found their fulfillment in You.  You make this same power available to me in Your call to me to be holy.  Grace and peace are mine always.

Luke 11:29-32

Beloved, wherever You went You attracted great crowds.  They came because they were hungry and thirsty to hear what You had to say. They had never heard the call and the challenge resonate within their hearts so powerfully as they did when You spoke, for You spoke with the authority of the Son of God and You knew Your Father intimately.

To those who hear and respond to Your call we receive healing and peace.  Your wisdom is greater than that of Solomon because You possess all God's wisdom.  You are the sign that leads either to our salvation if we hear and obey or to destruction if we shut our ears.

Psalm 98:1-4

Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done wonders; his right hand, his holy arm, has won victory for him.
The Lord has shown his salvation, revealing his justice to the nations.
He has not forgotten his love nor his faithfulness to Israel. The farthest ends of the earth all have seen God’s saving power.
All you lands, make a joyful noise to the Lord, break into song and sing praise.
