Daily Meditation:1 Corinthians 16:13

1 Corinthians 16:13

"Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong.  Let love be in all."

St. Paul says, "Be alert," Jesus says in Mt 16:6 "Be on your guard."  St. Paul says, "Stand firm in the faith,"  Jesus says, "Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me."  St. Paul says, "Be strong," and in Ep 6:10 He tells us how to be strong when he says, "Be strong in the strength of the Lord."  He also tells us what Christ said to him in 2Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Finally St. Paul says, "Let love be in all."  Beloved, You are love, Your Name is Love, Your nature is love.  May You be in all I say, do, will, desire and long for.

My Beloved, Your eyes are always on those who serve You.  Nothing  happens to us by chance and if we obey Your will, You will bless us abundantly.  Like Ruth may love motivate and direct my will.  True love is always fruitful and its fruit everlasting.

Matthew 23:1-12

If I remember always my Lord that when I am given a task I do it with the heart of a servant desiring only to please God, then I shall not feel  inadequate for I will only be doing Your will.  You would not ask me to do something without equipping me with all I need to accomplish it.  All You ask of me is a desire and a willingness to serve You with love.
