Daily Meditation:Romans 8:14-17
Romans 8:14-17
14 All those who walk in the Spirit of God are sons and daughters of God. 15 Then, no more fear: you did not receive a spirit of slavery, but the Spirit that makes you sons and daughters and every time we cry, “Abba! (this is Dad!) Father!” 16 the Spirit assures our spirit that we are sons and daughters of God. 17 If we are children, we are heirs, too. Ours will be the inheritance of God and we will share it with Christ; for if we now suffer with him, we will also share Glory with him.
My Beloved, I thank You that You did not leave us orphans but sent us the Holy Spirit who assures us that we are children of the Most High God. Thank You for reminding me that I should not be afraid. I am no longer a slave to sin but I walk in freedom - it is the freedom that comes from being a child of God whom I call Abba, Father, Daddy.
Beloved, I am not only a child of God through Baptism but I am also a co-heir. Mine is the inheritance of the Kingdom of God through You and in You. May my daily struggles in this valley of tears help to purify me and prepare me to share Your eternal glory Amen.

Daily Mass Readings: Acts 17:15, 22---18:1, John 16:12-15,
Psalm 148:1-2, 11-14
Acts 17:15, 22---18:1
Beloved, in whatever setting we find ourselves, we can always find a way of witnessing to You. When we look at the way men and women live today, it is hard to believe that they and the world are dependent on You for life and breath. Each wants to be their own master in deciding to do as they will, with no thought of God or neighbor. This is because we are fast becoming a godless world with no moral principles. W e have lost our spiritual compass, and while we sink deeper into the morass of self-indulgence, there are certain ideologies that are quietly gaining momentum, while the once Christian dominated nations sleep in a self induced stupor caused by vice and immorality.
Thank You for the hope that breathes through this verse that says, "God has fixed the time and boundaries of each nation." Thank You for assuring us that You are not far from us and that we live and move and have our being in You and that we are the children of God.
Thank You for the timely reminder that God has already set the day of judgment when You will judge in justice when You come again.
"32 When they heard Paul speak of a resurrection from death, some made fun of him, while others said, “We must hear you on this topic some other time.” 33 At that point Paul left. 34 But a few did join him, and believed. Among them were Dionysius, a member of the Areopagus court, a woman named Damaris, and some others."
As we see in the above verses, there will always be those who laugh and scorn the Good News, there will always be those who need time to assimilate what they have heard before they make a decision either for or against You and then there will be a few who on hearing the Word of God accept it wholeheartedly and believe in the Good News. And the remnant shall make reparation for the world.
John 16:12-15
My Beloved, over 2000 years Your Church has lovingly pondered over You with the help of the Holy Spirit. In this contemplation He has revealed through the great doctors of the Church, the Popes through the ages, various scholars, as well as humble lay men and women, the riches of God made available to us through Your marvellous work of redemption, as the Spirit helps to delve deeper into the mysteries of our faith.
The Father had a plan, You executed that plan to perfection and the Holy Spirit makes it possible for all mankind to receive the merits of Your work of salvation.
The Holy Spirit works quietly and unassumingly but He works effectively. He can move the heart and the spirit with the power of a gale force and He can bring about conversion to Christ and belief in the Good News in the hardest heart and the greatest sinner.
