Daniel 14:38, Genesis 12:1-9, Matthew 7:1-5, Psalm 33:12-13, 18-20 & 22

Daily Meditation:  Daniel 14:38

Daniel 14:38
38 Daniel gave thanks to God, saying, “You have remembered me, O God, and have not forsaken those who love you.”

Beloved, all those who love You and have given their lives over to Your Kingship can trust You completely.  Your eye is on the sparrow - how much more is Your care and concern for those who trust You!.

Daily Mass Readings:Genesis 12:1-9, Matthew 7:1-5,Psalm 33:12-13,18-20,22

Genesis 12:1-9

My Lord, just as the people of Israel belong to You and You vow to protect them and destroy anyone who sets his hand against them, so also Your mighty protection is over those who love You and have given their lives to You.

Matthew 7:1-5

My Beloved, quite often these Scripture texts are not understood too well.  Do not judge and you will not be judged means that we are not to be self-righteous, holier than thou and condemning of those whose lives do not measure up to our impossible, Pharisaical standards.  Each one makes their own journey  on the path of spirituality.  Each one travels at their own pace.  Some might need to make a detour or stop for a while, through it all Your hand will guide us and lead us home.  This does not mean that we ought not to judge between good and evil acts.  It is right to speak out loudly against all that is evil and corrupt.  It would be cowardly not to do so.

Psalm 33:22
22 O Lord, let your love rest upon us,
even as our hope rests in you.

Yes, Lord, keep Your eye always on me and those I love as we rest in You.
