Daniel 9:4-10, Psalm 79:8-9, 11, 13, Luke 6:36-38

Daily Holy Mass Readings:  Daniel 9:4-10, Psalm 79:8-9, 11, 13, Luke 6:36-38

Daniel 9:4-10

My Beloved, lead us back to Yourself.  All of us have sinned and wandered far away from You.  We have allowed ourselves to call truth a lie and lies the truth.  We have not only deceived ourselves but we have allowed ourselves to be deceived because of our wanton desires and the corruption of the senses and the flesh.  We have walked down the road of sin whose way is broad and smooth and we have entered the jaws of death.  Save us before they snap shut and we are lost forever.

You created us in love, we belong to You.  You have redeemed us and You have given us all as freely as You have received from Your Father.  Do not forsake us now, Your silly sheep who  have strayed from the fold.  Call us back Beloved and save us again from our own stupidity which will lead to eternal death.  Be merciful my Lord!

Psalm 79:8-9, 11, 13

Yes Lord, hurry and save us I  implore You.

Luke 6:36-38

Once more You remind me to be merciful as our Father is merciful.  Grant that I show mercy so mercy be shown to me Beloved.

Thank You Lord - this is a timely message.  It is so easy to run people down forgetting our own weaknesses are legion.  More is expected from us who claim to walk intimately with You and yet we continue to shame You and ourselves when we imitate the scribes and the pharisees in our hypocrisy.

---- Mine, don't be  too hard on yourself.  The road is long and arduous so don't give way to discouragement.  You are bound to make mistakes along the way, the most important thing is to keep Your gaze on me.  Follow Me, imitate Me.  I have shown You the Way, walk in it and pray constantly.

Yes Lord.

Genesis 22:1-2, 9-13, 15-18, Romans 8:31-34, Psalm 116:10, 15-19, Mark 9:1-10

Daily Holy Mass Readings:  Genesis 22:1-2, 9-13, 15-18, Romans 8:31-34,
                                                           Psalm 116:10, 15-19, Mark 9:1-10

Genesis 22:1-2, 9-13, 15-18

Beloved, each time You command may I gladly obey   like Abraham, may my response like his always be, "Here I am."  No matter what it is You ask of me, may I do it with childlike simplicity even if is difficult.  You will  not ask anything of me that is beyond my ability to either give or endure.

---- Mine, remember that love never stops to count the cost.  It is ready to sacrifice all for the Beloved - family, friends, possessions.  Nothing is so important that it takes precedence over the Lover.  Look at the Cross - a perfect example of Love.

Romans 8:31-34

Beloved, if the Father did not spare You for love of us His unworthy children but gave You up in order that we might be saved, what have we to be afraid of?  None can harm us, for both the Father and You at His side constantly pleading for us, upholds and protects, guards and strengthens us.  You have set me free and I am free indeed!

Psalm 116:10, 15-19

Verse 10
10 I have kept faith even when I said,
“I am greatly afflicted.”

Wouldn't it be wonderful Lord if verse 10 could be said of me?

Mark 9:1-10

My Beloved, You are the Kingdom of God for me.  You come with power to dwell within me at each Eucharist.  You stay awhile in the temple of my soul and I too am transfigured.  We are one, intimately, gloriously, divinely one.  You who are God and I who am a sinner.  Only a God of love would desire to deign to do this.
