Rejoice and be glad:
your reward will be great in heaven. LK 6:23AB
JEREMIAH 17:5-8
My Soul's Beloved,
A large number of people in many nations all over the world have chosen to plant themselves in the dry, arid, wastelands of sin. The fruit of a life away from the Spirit who is the found of goodness, beauty, and truth is concupiscence, violence, decay, and death. Yet, O Lord, there is always a faithful remnant who offer to God the fruit of the Sacrifice of Praise and Thanksgiving - the Holy Eucharist that rises up to heaven without ceasing night and day and together with the angels and saint, as well as the Holy Souls in Purgatory, stays the hand of the wrath of God and divine retribution for the offenses of those who either willfully or through ignorance have chosen to live in the barren wasteland of the world, the flesh, and the devil.
However, there is a faithful remnant who are called by Your Name, they have built their house on the Rock of Peter, their souls are washed clean in the waters of baptism, they partake of the Sacraments, and their food and drink are assured. These are a blessing to the whole world whether or not the world knows it. Their faithfulness and fruitfulness come from being branches of the True Vine. For as long as time lasts O Lord there will always be those who tirelessly lift up their hands and their hearts in prayer and in union with the one, holy, perfect, and only acceptable Sacrifice on Calvary make reparation for their own sins and the sins of the world.
PSALM 1:1-4,6
Happy the man who has placed his trust in the Lord.
But Christ has in fact been raised from the dead, the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep.
LUKE 6:17,20-26
My Soul's Beloved,
‘A blessing on the man who puts his trust in the Lord,
with the Lord for his hope.
He is like a tree by the waterside
that thrusts its roots to the stream:
when the heat comes it feels no alarm,
its foliage stays green;
it has no worries in a year of drought,
and never ceases to bear fruit.’
with the Lord for his hope.
He is like a tree by the waterside
that thrusts its roots to the stream:
when the heat comes it feels no alarm,
its foliage stays green;
it has no worries in a year of drought,
and never ceases to bear fruit.’
PSALM 1:1-4,6
Happy the man who has placed his trust in the Lord.
Happy indeed is the man
who follows not the counsel of the wicked;
nor lingers in the way of sinners
nor sits in the company of scorners,
but whose delight is the law of the Lord
and who ponders his law day and night.
who follows not the counsel of the wicked;
nor lingers in the way of sinners
nor sits in the company of scorners,
but whose delight is the law of the Lord
and who ponders his law day and night.
He is like a tree that is planted
beside the flowing waters,
that yields its fruit in due season
and whose leaves shall never fade;
and all that he does shall prosper.
that yields its fruit in due season
and whose leaves shall never fade;
and all that he does shall prosper.
Not so are the wicked, not so!
For they like winnowed chaff
shall be driven away by the wind:
for the Lord guards the way of the just
but the way of the wicked leads to doom.
shall be driven away by the wind:
for the Lord guards the way of the just
but the way of the wicked leads to doom.
Happy the man who has placed his trust in the Lord.
1 CORINTHIANS 15:12,16-20
My Soul's Beloved,
My Soul's Beloved,
Catholics are the most blessed and the most highly privileged of all people of all faiths all over the world because, through grace alone, we are planted firmly on the Rock of Peter. Here the Holy Spirit dwells in fullness. Here we receive the Sacraments of Life and Healing. Here is found life in abundance. As members of the family of God, we have God who is our Abba, we have the Son of God You for our Brother, we have the Holy Spirit abiding in us as our Paraclete, our Helper, our Guide, our Teacher and who unites us with Father and Son. And as if all this were not enough we have the Mother of the Son of God for our Mother, St. Joseph, preeminent of all the saints for our powerful protector and defender as Father of the Church, and the entire company of saints as our brothers and sisters, as well as the intercession of the Holy Souls in Purgatory, as well as the whole arms of angels to guard us.
We believe in the one, holy catholic and apostolic church, we believe in the resurrection of the dead, and we believe that God, having risen from the dead the die no more, we too will rise again. This is our faith and our hope that where the Bridegroom is we too shall be one day.
But Christ has in fact been raised from the dead, the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep.
LUKE 6:17,20-26
My Soul's Beloved,
You know where we are, You know where to find us, You will always come looking for us, no matter how high You go on the mountain, You will return to the level ground where we wait eagerly for You. All who desire You Lord will be found by You. No matter how low we may be, how dark the place where sin has consigned us, if we even only sigh in the silence of our heart for You, You will come to us.
No luke-warm Catholic, no Christian no matter what denomination they belong to, and no living person who has not heard Your Name and has at least some knowledge You can deceive themselves that they can be forgiven because they were ignorant. They would be liars. And having heard of You, having some knowledge of the Truth that saves, if they have not taken the trouble to know the astounding claims that the Catholic Church makes because of who she is, then they will be guilty of negligence and will be held accountable. Apart from this Lord, Your law is written on every human heart and when they seek the Truth they will find You in the Church You founded, and all that they knew in their heart to be true, will find affirmation and confirmation in the doctrines that are taught by the Church
Jesus came down with the Twelve and stopped at a piece of level ground where there was a large gathering of his disciples with a great crowd of people from all parts of Judaea and from Jerusalem and from the coastal region of Tyre and Sidon. Then fixing his eyes on his disciples he said:
‘How happy are you who are poor: yours is the kingdom of God.
Happy you who are hungry now: you shall be satisfied.
Happy you who weep now: you shall laugh.
Happy are you when people hate you, drive you out, abuse you, denounce your name as criminal, on account of the Son of Man. Rejoice when that day comes and dance for joy, for then your reward will be great in heaven. This was the way their ancestors treated the prophets.
‘But alas for you who are rich: you are having your consolation now.
Alas for you who have your fill now: you shall go hungry.
Alas for you who laugh now: you shall mourn and weep.
‘Alas for you when the world speaks well of you! This was the way their ancestors treated the false prophets.’
