Your word is truth, O Lord:
consecrate us in the truth. JN 17:17
ACTS 20:28-38 ©
My Soul's Beloved,
Every baptized person is of infinite value for we are purchased by the Blood of the Lamb. This is why the shepherds You have chosen, appointed, and put in charge of Your flock will be held strictly accountable for their care or lack thereof of Your sheep. St. Paul reiterates what You as well as St. Peter warned would happen - ravenous, wicked wolves in sheep's clothing would enter the fold and attack, kill, destroy, and steal what is Yours. Even from your own ranks there will be men coming forward with a travesty of the truth on their lips to induce the disciples to follow them.
Every man or woman from within the Church who was responsible for breaking away from Holy Mother Church by teaching heresy, promoting schism, and leading the weak astray, has not just erred seriously but sinned gravely and damned themselves to eternal perdition taking many with them. Having cut themselves from the Vine there are over 40,000 breakaway groups and they keep fragmenting ad infinitum ad nauseam for they lack the Holy Spirit that binds all together in love to the Father and to You.
They will return to the fold for Your prayer as High Priest to the Father that there be but one flock and one shepherd is answered for You assure us that the Father always hears You. We however need to join our own prayers to Yours and we will hasten the coming of Your Kingdom on earth.
May we always appreciate and love those good shepherds who in imitation of You, spend themselves and lay down their lives for their sheep just as St. Paul did:
When he had finished speaking he knelt down with them all and prayed. By now they were all in tears; they put their arms around Paul’s neck and kissed him; what saddened them most was his saying they would never see his face again. Then they escorted him to the ship.
PSALM 67(68):29-30,33-36 ©
Show forth, O God, show forth your might,
your might, O God, which you have shown for us.
For the sake of your temple high in Jerusalem
may kings come to you bringing their tribute.
Kingdoms of the earth, sing to God, praise the Lord
who rides on the heavens, the ancient heavens.
He thunders his voice, his mighty voice.
Come, acknowledge the power of God.
His glory is on Israel; his might is in the skies.
God is to be feared in his holy place.
He is the Lord, Israel’s God.
He gives strength and power to his people.
Blessed be God!
Kingdoms of the earth, sing to God.
