The Lord is our judge, the Lord our lawgiver,
the Lord our king and saviour. Is33:22

My Soul's Beloved,
Every prayer of anguish, every cry of desolation, all the heartache and heartbreak of the people of the Old Testament as well as every promise of consolation, every assurance of better days, of abundance of all good things is fulfilled in You, my Lord and my God. You came into the world in obedience to the will of Your Father and to fulfill His plan of salvation for His wayward creatures. He sent You into the world as a visible and tangible sign of His incomprehensible love for us wicked, stubborn, hardhearted, sinful creatures.
Thank You, Lord, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for taking us by the hand, for leading us, for abiding in us, and for fulfilling every one of the wonderful prophecies that God has made to His people ever since the sin of our first parents. O Father, we can never thank You enough for not abandoning us even when we sin and turn away from You. Thank You for pursuing us relentlessly and for not giving up until You find us. I am grateful for this hope that I have in You as our Good Shepherd and this is why, Lord, I pray with confidence for I know that You desire the return of the sinner far more than I do.
We long for the day when every sinner repents, every sinner comes to the knowledge of truth, and every sinner returns to You, on that glorious day the whole human race will worship You with one heart, one mind, one will, and one body and we will hasten the coming of the Kingdom of God in our midst and Your glorious return in glory.
PSALM 146(147):1-6 ©
Praise the Lord for he is good;
sing to our God for he is loving:
to him our praise is due.
The Lord builds up Jerusalem
and brings back Israel’s exiles.
He heals the broken-hearted,
he binds up all their wounds.
He fixes the number of the stars;
he calls each one by its name.
Our Lord is great and almighty;
his wisdom can never be measured.
The Lord raises the lowly;
he humbles the wicked to the dust.
Happy are all who hope in the Lord.
My Soul's Beloved,
The first 30 years of Your life were hidden in the Father, in the Holy Spirit, and hidden with Mary Your Virgin Mother, and St. Joseph Your foster father. These years may have been hidden but they were spent in preparation for the mission that the Father entrusted to You - the salvation of the world. We owed a debt we could not pay and so He charged You, His Son, to pay it instead.
The fruit of those 30 hidden years was made visible in the last three years of Your life. You worked relentlessly, tirelessly, You had three years to preach and teach and make known the love of the Father with power and signs and wonders. The works of curing all kinds of diseases and sickness, Your mighty miracles in the multiplication of the loaves and fish, Your power over the elements and demons pointed to the fact that You came from God, that You were one with God, and that You were God.
Pity, compassion, and empathy especially to the poor and to sinners, were hallmarks of Your ministry to a wounded, broken, and hurting world. You see us as we are harassed and dejected like sheep without a shepherd. You sent Your disciples as laborers to bring in the rich harvest of souls that without You were doomed to eternal damnation. This mission, given to the disciples continues to this day, sadly most of our shepherds are not as effective as the shepherds in the early church were for they lived in simpler times without all the temptations of our 21st-century culture.
The same authority You gave to the Twelve is given to their successors but few exercise them as effectively as they did. This is the mandate: Proclaim that the kingdom of heaven is close at hand. Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out devils. You received without charge, give without charge.’

Have mercy on us, on the Church, and on the world - Abba Father, by the power of the Most Precious Blood of Your Son end the evil in this world and bring about an era of peace in Jesus' Name we pray. Come Holy Spirit and renew the face of the earth. Amen.
