The word of the Lord remains for ever:
What is this word?
It is the Good News that has been brought to you. 1 PETER 1:25

My Soul's Beloved,

Just as the Lord made known to Moses that certain days were to be set apart and dedicated solely to the honor and worship of God, similarly Beloved, Sunday is to be set apart for it is a day for rejoicing and giving thanks for the sacred and saving work of salvation that You O Lord wrought for us from the moment of Your incarnation and through Your Passion, Death, and Your glorious resurrection.

The Church, from the beginning, obliges all the faithful, the Body of Christ, to assemble for this great feast every Sunday. Few understand why we ought to set everything aside to come together as God's family to offer to God the greatest and highest worship. Nothing we offer God is as pleasing to Him as the re-presentation of the great sacrificial salvific work of our redemption through Your passion, death, and resurrection offered in union with the poor unworthy sacrifice of our own lives.

We take this Commandment to 'Keep holy the Sabbath day' so lightly. Many Catholics are unaware that they commit a grave sin by not attending Holy Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation and those that don't seem to care or understand that mortal sin kills the soul.

Open our eyes, Lord, that we may be drawn to the Sacraments, not for fear of punishment but with grateful hearts and a deep and abiding love for You.
