Since you have been brought back to true life with Christ,
you must look for the things that are in heaven, where Christ is,
sitting at God’s right hand. COL 3:1
ACTS 16:1-10 ©
My Soul's Beloved,
Today's reading from the Acts of the Apostles teaches us how to discern God's will and how the Church teaches, guides, and acts always in accordance with God's Word which does not exclude prudence and common sense. Although the Church does not change her doctrine willy-nilly, there are occasions when she may take a decision that might seem in contradiction to the norm as we see from the circumcision of Timothy and the reason why Paul thought it prudent to do so.
Paul and his companions were on fire with the Holy Spirit and preached and taught with zeal the Good News of our salvation. They traveled tirelessly with no regard for personal comfort and ease and went from one town to the next and one country to the next establishing churches everywhere. But they did so not according to their own inclination and desires but according to the will of the Spirit. Our work will be fruitful only in so far as we are attuned to Your will and act in accordance with it.
The more we rely on You, Lord, the easier it becomes to discern what it is You desire Your will and the more we conform to it the more abundant the fruit. Once we know Your will, we must like Mary, Joseph, the Apostles, Paul, and all holy men and women lose no time in doing it. We must lose no time in doing all You ask, always.

My Soul's Beloved,
My Soul's Beloved,
Having You what need we fear - You are our Lord and our God, the King of Kings, our Redeemer, Savior, and our Friend. We are espoused to You. We are loved by You with a love that is indescribable. Your love is infinite and unending and even though we are undeserving of Your loving, tender, mercy, and compassion You are unfailingly loving and merciful.
Keep us always as the apple of Your eye. Keep us always in the shelter of Your wings. My Lord and my God, I am yours do with me just what You will. Amen.

My Soul's Beloved,
My Soul's Beloved,
Thank You for these most beautiful words,
‘If the world hates you,
remember that it hated me before you.
If you belonged to the world,
the world would love you as its own;
but because you do not belong to the world,
because my choice withdrew you from the world,
therefore the world hates you.’
If you belonged to the world,
the world would love you as its own;
but because you do not belong to the world,
because my choice withdrew you from the world,
therefore the world hates you.’
You chose me and the world is well lost for the love of You. Thank You for choosing me. Thank You for making me Your own. Thank You for inscribing my name on the palm of Your hand. I desire to be Yours and Yours alone in time and in eternity. Stay with me Lord now and always.
