If anyone loves me he will keep my word,
and my Father will love him,
and we shall come to him. JN 14:23

My Soul's Beloved,
My Soul's Beloved,
You are the glorious new Moses. Your hand is outstretched over all who are called by Your Name and unlike Moses, whose hands got tired and had to be held up by Aaron and Hur but You never tire of keeping us safe, secure, and protected, from every evil.
Today, as we read the passage of the marvelous way in which God parted the waters of the sea to create a safe passage for His people, we know that by Your life, passion, death, and glorious resurrection You have created a safe passage for every man, woman, and child who is grafted to Your Body.
Just as the entire Egyptian army who were the enemies of the people of God were drowned and disappeared into the depths of the sea so too do You take away our sins and drown them in the ocean of Your love, never to be remembered or recalled again.
You have triumphed over the world, the flesh, and the devil and we who are grafted to You share in Your victory. Our enemies will not prevail against us instead, like the Egyptians they too will cry saying, 'The Lord is fighting for them.' Every weapon forged against Your people will be useless for it is You who fight our battles for us.
The triumphant song of the resurrection is 'Halleluiah' and it is our song. Great is Your Name O Lord and worthy of praise.

My Soul's Beloved,
The waters of the sea parted and the people of God walked on
dry land and crossed over to the other side in safety and the enemy in hot pursuit of them were annihilated completely as the waters rushed back and destroyed them and their chariots. It was one nation and one people that were saved and it was one army of the enemy that was destroyed.
dry land and crossed over to the other side in safety and the enemy in hot pursuit of them were annihilated completely as the waters rushed back and destroyed them and their chariots. It was one nation and one people that were saved and it was one army of the enemy that was destroyed.
By Your Cross and Resurrection, You have set the whole world free, You have redeemed all humankind, You have destroyed the Enemy forever. No plan forged against the children of God will prevail. Thank You, for this glorious confidence we have in You.
All who believe in You, love You, surrender their whole lives to You and live in joyful submission to Your holy will are Your inheritance - we are the Father's gift to You and it is a gift that is most pleasing to You. We are Your people, the sheep of Your flock, we are redeemed by Your Blood, and marked and sealed by Your Spirit through Baptism. Nothing can separate us from You.
You fight our battles, You overthrow the armies of satan that come against us, with You we are invincible. Victory is ours because we are Yours, and one day, when this life comes to an end:
You will lead your people and plant them on your mountain,
the place, O Lord, where you have made your home,
the sanctuary, Lord, which your hands have made.
the place, O Lord, where you have made your home,
the sanctuary, Lord, which your hands have made.

My Soul's Beloved,
My Soul's Beloved,
If You believed for an instant that Your Mother would feel denigrated by Your response, 'Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?' When You were told by some people in the crowd that Your Mother and relatives wanted a word with You, You would never have spoken those words.
No one knew You better than she did. No one understood Your mission more completely than she did, even though she may have not understood it fully. No one knew better than she did who You were and the reason why the Father sent You into the world. To me, it is absurd to suggest that she would think Your response harsh.
No human person has ever and will ever do the will of Your Father in heaven so completely as did Mary, Your Mother, and ours. It is a joy to us to know that if we imitate her, Your first and peerless disciple, You will consider us worthy of being called Your mother, sisters, and brothers too.
