My Soul's Beloved,
It is true we are living in difficult times - the people of the
world are fearful and while the Church and other Christian communities are doing their best to offer spiritual strength to their members and allay their anxieties few are able to provide real help. We need community. We need to come together as Your Body. We need the Eucharist. But since all this is denied us at present it does not mean that You have abandoned us. The Holy Spirit makes His home in us and provides all the help we will ever need.
The prayer that the Apostles made together after the release of Peter and John must be our prayer too and must be prayed with the same conviction of the early Church. We hear rumors, we hear of dark plots, we hear different voices claiming to know the truth - they do not allay our fears but sow doubt and confusion in the minds of many. Instead of letting Your Word be a light to our feet and a lamp to our path, we are swept along in the tide of half-truths, outright lies, while evil plots and schemes untroubled in the dark.
But the unvarnished truth is this - You are Master and Lord and the world and all in it belongs to You. And Your Word is triumphant and victorious.
Men, women, and nations may plot against You and Your anointed but they do so in vain. They have made an alliance with Satan but what they do not know is that the Fater of Lies is defeated.
This day Lord, the Church You formed from Your pierced side comes together to pray the prayer of the Apostles,
And now, Lord, take note of their threats and help your servants to proclaim your message with all boldness, by stretching out your hand to heal and to work miracles and marvels through the name of your holy servant Jesus.’
And as we pray today Beloved, let that same Holy Spirit that filled that house, fill Your Church and rock it, and may all Your anointed be filled with the Holy Spirit and with fire that will set the world ablaze as we proclaim the word of God boldly.

My Soul's Beloved,
Faith in You and Your Word will overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil. If only we put our hope and trust in God we would discover that the head of the Serpent is crushed and death has been defeated.
We would not be wringing our hands helplessly as if we did not have God, the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit on our side. You have said that faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains but we continue to allow our fears of our enemies to enslave, oppress and place us in shackles.
You are the Lord's Anointed and You have broken our fetters and our shackles. God has appointed You King of Kings and Lord of Lords and we belong to You. Not a hair on the head of those who approach You on Your holy mountain will be harmed. We are marked by Your Blood and sealed in Your Spirit.
