My Soul's Beloved,
Thank You for the wonderful promises that the prophet makes all of which are fulfilled in You, our Savior, our Redeemer, our Lord, and God. You, the New Jerusalem, are our Joy, and we, the new people of God in the Church You founded, are Gladness. We are the adopted children of the Father and heirs to the Kingdom of heaven.
As we reflect on the Scripture passages chosen for this time of year, we see how You continue to make all things new. Weeping comes in the night but joy is guaranteed in the morning to all who walk closely with You.
Thank You, Lord, that our God has a short-term memory, He does not remember our sins, He keeps no account of our transgressions when He forgives He forgets. So great is the power of the redemption You won for us on the Cross, so great is the power of Your Blood it washes our souls whiter than snow.
No more will the sound of weeping or the sound of cries be heard in her; in her, no more will be found the infant living a few days only, or the old man not living to the end of his days. To die at the age of a hundred will be dying young; not to live to be a hundred will be the sign of a curse. They will build houses and inhabit them, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

My Soul's Beloved,
The greatest, once-for-all rescue mission for the salvation of all mankind is accomplished by Your death on the Cross. All we need to do is reach out and receive it. We are saved, we are redeemed, we are justified by our faith in the power of the Blood of the Lamb to do for us what all the sacrifices of bulls and lambs could not accomplish - we are a new creation.
This is why we must rejoice. The Enemy is vanquished. We have been restored to life. Death no longer has power over us. The tomb is empty.
Our whole lives must be one of thanksgiving and praise for so great a love that willingly entered the gates of hell and the jaws of death and crushed the head of Satan forever. Let us bow low at the Name that is above every other for Your Name is the only Name that has the power to save.
All we need to do is utter Your Name in faith and God will wipe away all our tears. He will no longer remember our iniquities. He will forgive all our sins and command the angels and saints to rejoice at our return to Him for we were created for God there is no hope, no home, and no rest apart from Him.

My Soul's Beloved,
You were indefatigable in the three short years of Your public ministry. You were on a timeline and there was much to be accomplished. These years were replete with teaching, preaching, as well as miraculous signs and wonders that pointed to the truth of who You said You were - the Son of God. There was also great envy, hatred, jealousy, and murderous rage among the Pharisees, Scribes, Herod, the Chief Priests, and rabbis. So great was their malice against You they would not rest until they destroyed You.
Yet, undeterred, You went around fulfilling the mission for which You were sent. Today's miracle tells us of the healing of an official's son who was on the point of death. The distraught father pleads with You to go with him and cure his son. You assured him to go home and he would find his son healed. The man believed and was overjoyed at the news that at the very hour You pronounced the words his son was healed.
Let us too have faith and believe that Your word will not return to You without accomplishing all that You desire.
