love one another as I have loved you. Jn 13:34

Matthew 25:14-30

1 Corinthians 1:26-31

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

St. Paul reminds us that we are nothing of ourselves it is You who raises us up. It is You who call us from darkness into Your own marvelous light and it is You who bless us with every gift in the heavenly places. The purpose of these blessings is so we can be a blessing to all we encounter every day of our lives. We have nothing of our own and hence to boast of what we are given as pure gift would be foolish.

Thank You, Beloved may we never cease to give thanks, praise, glory, honor to You to whom all praise is due.

Psalm 33:12-13, 18-21

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

It is You who call us, it is You who anoint us with Your Spirit, it is You who have revealed to us that God is our Father. All we have that is good, holy, and worthy come from Your holy hands. You are the Giver of every good and perfect gift.

It is You who claimed us for Yourself. You have proclaimed Your Church Your Bride and You her Bridegroom. You watch over Your sheep as tenderly as a good shepherd watches over his flock and keeps her safe from wolves, bad worthy, dangerous terrain. You lead her to streams of living water that flow from Your side and You feed her with Your Body and cleanse her with Your Blood. You Holy Spirit sanctifies her and enables her to be holy.

She rests trustingly in You for she knows that no harm can come to her and no thief an steal the treasures that You have given her. She is Yours she knows it and so she is unafraid.

Matthew 25:14-30

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

In this parable of the talents 3, 2, and 5 given to the servants You remind us that all we have comes from You and hence we are obliged to give an account of what is given to us gratis and through no merit of ours.

You are generous with Your gifts and these are given in order that we, in turn, might use them for the glory of Your Kingdom. Anyone who hides the treasures, is lazy, is lethargical, is indifferent, is more concerned about temporal things than eternal will have to pay. God's justice is tempered with mercy but we must never forget that You are a just God.

Beloved, on the day of reckoning may we hear those glorious words that You spoke to the faithful servants,

'Well done, my good and faithful servant.
Since you were faithful in small matters,
I will give you great responsibilities.
Come, share your master's joy.'
