Ezekiel 1:2-5, 24-28C
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
Ezekiel saw a vision of You and tries to explain what he saw so we could some idea of what he had seen. However, it is not easy to do for no one can truly express what is divine in words that we who have never had heavenly visions can comprehend.
What exactly did Ezekiel see: He had a vision of angels in the midst of a fiery cloud, he heard the sound their wings made which was like the roaring of a cascade of water. He saw the throne of God upon which one like the Son of Man was seated and the angels were silent when He appeared in splendor and majesty. There are no words to express what he saw. He can only use terms of what it seemed like - fire, water, sound, rainbows, glory, splendor, majesty, silence, power, and yet he cannot truly convey to us poor creatures what he saw for there are no earthly words to express God and heaven; all that we can do is praise our God who reigns over heaven and earth.
Psalm 148:1-2, 11-14
Heaven and earth are filled with your glory.
Praise the LORD from the heavens;
praise him in the heights;
Praise him, all you his angels;
praise him, all you his hosts.
Let the kings of the earth and all peoples,
the princes and all the judges of the earth,
Young men too, and maidens,
old men and boys,
Praise the name of the LORD,
for his name alone is exalted;
His majesty is above earth and heaven.
And he has lifted up the horn of his people.
Be this his praise from all his faithful ones,
from the children of Israel, the people close to him.

Matthew 17:22-27
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten not made, consubstantial with the Father. No one can truly fathom who God is - for He is a mystery - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Yet, God desired that His creatures see Him, touch Him, eat Him, experience His love which is beyond anything we can ever comprehend. And this Son of Man whom the angels prostrate and adore, came into the world as one like us in all things save sin in order that we may be able to approach Him who dwells in unapproachable light.
There are many instances in the Gospel where You reveal who You are to Your disciples and sometimes to the inner circle, and sometimes to Peter alone. This is one such instance. God who has command over heaven, earth and all this is seen and unseen commands Peter to go fishing and find in the mouth of the first fish he caught money enough to pay the temple tax for You and him.
The Church has its foundation on You - it is a heavenly foundation and Your choice is on Peter, the Rock, on which this heavenly edifice is built here on earth. This is why the gates of hell nor evil men and women within it can ever succeed in destroying it. It will prevail until You come again in glory to claim it for she is Yours.
