2 Samuel 7:4-5, 12-14 & 16

My soul's beloved, St. Joseph was chosen by God to be the guardian of His most beloved daughter Mary and You, His most beloved Son. Of all the people in Israel, the favor of God rested on him to fulfill the prophecy concerning You. He belonged to the House of David from where the shoot of Jesse would spring forth to liberate the human race and establish the kingdom of God forever.

Psalm 89:2-5, 27 & 29

My soul's beloved, You are the eternal Covenant of the Father - it was You who was promised to us from the moment of the fall. Through the ages You sent different figures who prefigured You one such person was king David. For a while when he ruled the people of Israel enjoyed peace and prosperity but it did not last. However, You who are the eternal Son of God has fulfilled every promise made by God to us. You have established Your rule forever and through You we receive our inheritance, a share in the Kingdom of God that You have established in every heart that believes in faith that You are the One sent by God to restore all that was lost through Your incarnation, passion, death and resurrection.
