Galatians 5:18-25, Psalm 1:1-4, 6, Luke 11:42-46

Galatians 5:18-25

My soul's beloved, self-control in bridling ones baser tendencies is anathema in the world we live today where the mantra is live and let live even if what we let live is evil, sterile, and the prognosis of the choices we make lead to sickness, and death as we lose a sense of things holy, virtuous and divine.

How did we get to this place my Lord? As the world makes great strides in every area of our human life it seems spiritually we keep going backwards in time to idolatry of every kind that existed before God sent You, His only Son into the world.

Yes, my soul's beloved, there is the faithful remnant who interceded with You, with our Mother, and all the holy angels and saints in heaven to stop this downward spiral into the very depths of evil. How much longer Lord before sanity can return? Before the blood of the innocents ceases to be spilled in abortion clinics? Before children cease to be exploited and lose their innocence even as they begin to take their baby steps? How much longer Lord?

 You remind us Beloved that those who belong to You have crucified their flesh with its sinful passions and desires and live and follow the Spirit. They are filled with the fruits of the Spirit and are known because they manifest these fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.They shine Your Light in a sinful world and through their witness of the Good News of our salvation, You who have saved and redeemed the world, will in Your mercy and compassion bring an end to the reign of the devil. You are God and You have won the victory. We are saved!

Psalm 1:1-4, 6

My soul's beloved, thank You for this wonderful assurance that those who follow You will have the Light of Life to light their feet and their path. They dwell in the shadow of Your Presence and take refuge under Your wings. They refuse to give consent to evil even when they will suffer for it. They are unafraid to speak the truth because the Truth sets us free from being yoked to sin. 

Your faithful remnant O Lord delight in meditating on Your Word - it is food and drink to them and helps them to discern Your will for their lives. They produce the fruits of the Spirit always for they are planted in You and they are fed with the Bread of Angels and their thirst is quenched with the Living Waters that flow from You. They will not fall by the wayside and be trampled but You will ensure that they will always experience Your peace. 

Evil will thrive for but a while for You my soul's beloved have triumphed. You have crushed the head of Satan and we are saved by the Blood of the Lamb. Alleluia! Amen!

Luke 11:42-46

My soul's beloved, here we have the blunt woes to those who feed of the misery of others. Who have no respect for life or for truth. You warn those who bury their head in the sand of political correctness and never take a stand on the side of truth. Hypocrites who lie and cheat and say one thing while doing the exact opposite. They make unreasonable demands on those they govern, they make laws that are evil and they enforce them ruthlessly, they deny the rights of those who live by faith and they crush their institutions which seek only to live by the Gospel values. 

You warn us that no one will be spared. Those who have made it their life's work to crush those who oppose them  using their power, wealth and influence will one day be crushed themselves for it is the meek who will inherit the earth and the poor who will inherit the Kingdom of God.
