Hebrews 12:1-4, Psalm 22:26b-28, 30-32, Mark 5:21-43

 Hebrews 12:1-4

My Beloved, there is a crown waiting for us at the end of life's struggles.  there is a prize that must be won.  If we keep our eyes fixed on the Goal - which is perfect union with You eternally then we will find the courage to walk blamelessly before You each day.  It is not as if we do not have a God who is clueless about what it is to be tempted everyday by the world, the flesh and the devil. You understand perfectly and because You do, You make available every grace to enable us fight the enemy which is sin that leads to eternal death.  You suffered an abominable death - we will not be asked to suffer as greatly as You did but we can never say that we have a High Priest who does not understand our misery.  Thank You my Beloved for loving us so much that You came down from heaven to lead us back to our eternal home with You.  Have I already shed my blood in the struggle against sin?  That is the kind of battle I have to make.  It is a serious battle and I cannot make half hearted attempts to overcome my weaknesses, it is a war but I have been fitted with armor to fight and be victorious. Thank You for the Gift of Gifts - Your Holy Spirit indwelling in me who equips and helps me fight the battle.

Psalm 22:26b-28, 30-32

My Beloved, A Christian and a Catholic is one who is fully alive to the Truth of our salvation and the way in which it was won.  Aware of these truths, our life must be one long act of praise, thanksgiving and worship for all that You mave possible for the children of Adam and Eve.  There is a vow of love that we must fulfill each day and everyday.  As we eat the Bread of Life, You will satisfy us and strengthen us for the battle.   This food will fuel our desire to seek Your Face and to long for the day when we will live with You forever. All nations will worship You because we are Your Light that shines brightly and attracts others to follow You as well.  We have a a hope and we are unafraid of death, the dust is not our final resting place; our soul will live in You and for You.  I have Your assurance that my descendants will follow me and have the same eternal, glorious destination which is to rest in Your Love forever.
Mark 5:21-43

My Beloved, the woman with the issue of blood had heard of You, she came to You, secretly she reached out in faith with trembling fingers and touched the hem of Your garment certain that she would be healed. She was, her healing was instantaneous. Her faith was rewarded. No matter how secretly we come to You, too ashamed to come any other way, You know.  You are aware of our desire and hunger for You.  You are sensitive to our lightest touch and to our emotions. You grant us our desire according to our faith be it as small as a mustard seed, but You do require us to testify and witness to what You have done for us in order to attract others to come, see, taste and experience Your goodness as we have.
Every sinner who is dead to the life of grace can be raised up like Jairus' daughter.  The father pleaded with You to restore his child to him so too must we pray for our children and plead with You to give them new life.  You  will always honor such a prayer for You tasted death on our behalf, You crushed the Devourer and annihilated his power by dying on the Cross.  All we need to do is lift up our eyes and see the salvation that You our God have won for us."
