Hebrews 6:10-20, Psalm 111:1-2, 4-5, 9 & 10c, Mark 2:23-28

Hebrews 6:10-20

My Beloved, Your Word assures us that all we do because we love You will not be forgotten. Every little act that has been prompted by our love for You will be remembered and rewarded. This is Your promise. We must be faithful and committed. We ought never to grow weary of doing good. We ought never to lose hope even when things look dark and there seems to be no reason to hope. In our bleakest and blackest hours, we have to remind ourselves that God has a made a Covenant of Love, He has sworn an oath in His Name and He will be eternally faithful. He who is God is so committed to us that He gave us undeniable proof by sealing His Covenant with the Blood of His Son, Your Blood. It is now the sign by which all know that we are saved and our hope will endure as long as life on earth shall last.

God sent You, His Son in to the world in order to save us and to show us the way to the Kingdom. You who are the Lamb of Sacrifice has now entered into Your glory and we have the assurance that all who believe and place their hope and trust in You will be received by You when our life on earth shall cease to be. You are our High Priest and You make continual intercession for us before Your Father and You will do so until the end to time.

Psalm 111:1-2, 4-5, 9 & 10c

The greatest work of all wrought by God is the offering of His Son as the Perfect Victim and High Priest who offered to God a pleasing and acceptable sacrifice to atone for our sins. His work of salvation for all men has secured for us the place we had lost forever and we thank and praise God our Father, Jesus our Brother and the Holy Spirit our Guide for ensuring that we have help through the Church He has established to obtain all the graces we need day after day in our journey to Him through this vale of tears. He provides sustenance through the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharistic and He makes it possible for us to receive Him by offering us the Sacrament of Reconciliation so we can have clean hearts for nothing impure can enter the Presence of God. His Name is higher and mightier than any other. It is the Name by which His followers are called. At the Name of Jesus, the Christ, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess to the glory of God the Father through the power of His Holy Spirit that Jesus is Lord – to Him belongs everlasting peace for He is the Prince of peace and He gives His peace to all who desire it.

From our love for Him sprints our hope and because of this hope we have peace.

Mark 2:23-28

My Beloved, if we are constantly fault finding and nit picking looking for flaws in the shepherds You have chosen to watch over Your sheep, we do so because we desire to find an excuse not to follow You closely. Whatever we do and say must be motivated by love, compassion and mercy towards all. We must remember that all of us and sinners and we will always fall short this is why You came to fill the gap and to make up for what we never could by ourselves.

You have seen our poverty, You know that we are hungry and without the heavenly Bread You proved we will all die for without the Holy Eucharist we would be unable to fight against the daily temptations that we are faced with. You remain in the Sanctuary as Bread. You make Yourself accessible to us in a way that is simple. You hide under the appearance of bread and wine so we will not die of fright at Your awesome majesty but can approach You, receive You and consume You and become one with You and when you return to the Holy of Holies we enter with You.
