Numbers 21:4-9, John 3:13-17, Psalm 78:1-2, 34-38

Numbers 21:4-9

verse 4-5The people were  discouraged  by  the  journey  and began to complain against God and Moses...
My Beloved, how often I too begin to grumble.  I am so easily discouraged and I begin to murmur.  I am dissatisfied with everything after a while and begin to find fault.  I become disagreeable and quarrelsome.  I forget that I belong to You.  I forget the price You paid to free me.  I have such short memory - every grace, every gift and blessing is so easily forgotten.  Yet You forgive me over and over and over again.  Thank You for Your patience with me.

John 3:13-17
13 No one has ever gone up to heaven except the one who came from heaven, the Son of Man.

Beloved, You came from heaven and became like one of us in all things save sin.  Love of the Father for His poor sinful children brought You to us as our Savior, Redeemer, Brother and Friend.  If You did not cover Yourself in the filth of the sins of every human being that ever lived, we would have been lost to hell for forever.  Grant me a grateful, thankful and above all a loving heart always.

Psalm 78:35, 37-38

35 They remembered that God was their rock, the Most High, their redeemer.
37 while their hearts were unfaithful; they were untrue to his covenant.
38 Even then, in his compassion, he forgave their offenses and did not destroy them.
Many a time he restrained his anger and did not fully stir up his wrath.
