Daniel 14:38, Deuteronomy 20:3-4, Exodus 3:13-20, Matthew 11:28-30, Psalm 105:1, 5, 8-9, 25-27

Daily Meditation: Daniel 14:38, Deuteronomy 20:3-4,

Daniel 14:38
38 Daniel gave thanks to God, saying, “You have remembered me, O God, and have not forsaken those who love you.”

Deuteronomy 20:3-4
“Listen, Israel, today you are to enter into battle against your enemies. Do not let your heart be discouraged, or afraid or troubled, and do not tremble before them, for Yahweh, your God, is with you, to fight in your favor against your enemies and save you.”

My Beloved, in this valley of tears, sorrow, heart break, sickness and evil that brings with it terror and destruction into our lives, we know that we can continue to put our faith and hope in You.  We can trust in Your everlasting love, for You always keep Your promises.  You have given us Your Holy Spirit to help us fight the enemy, You have given us the Eucharist which is Your Body and Blood to strengthen us and provide us with nourishment for our soul and for our spiritual journey to heaven.  We have a Father in Your Abba, and a Mother in Your Mama.  All the saints in heaven are our brothers and sisters and we have the entire angelic hosts to protect us.  Thank You.

Daily Mass Readings:  Exodus 3:13-20, Matthew 11:28-30,
                                Psalm 105:1, 5, 8-9, 25-27
Exodus 3:13-20

In this account of the encounter between God and Moses we see how You deal with Your own.  Beloved, truly we have nothing to fear. If only we had faith enough to believe this? How often we think we are struggling alone when all the while You are with us, Your mighty hand of protection is raised over us so that we may not hit our foot against a stone and stumble.  You performed marvels to set Your people free from the tyranny of Pharaoh - how much more do we marvel hat you did the unfathomable when You permitted evil to nail Your Son to the Cross to set us free.  Father, we will give You thanks, praise and worship all the days of our life.  In response to such love, we offer our lives as a sacrifice of praise to the Triune God.

Matthew 11:28-30

O my Beloved, what can I say to such a loving and tender invitation?  Yes Lord, Yes, I accept to be yoked to You.  I place all that weighs me down on Your shoulders.  Teach me how to be humble just like You.  Give me a heart as kind, gentle and generous as Your own.  Yoked to You my Beloved, life is good and all  my burdens are light when You help me carry them.  Thank You.

Psalm 105:8-9
He remembers his covenant forever, his promise to a thousand generations, the covenant he made with Abraham, the promise he swore to Isaac.
