 1 Samuel 17:45 & 47

You have come against me with sword, spear and javelin, but I come against you with the Lord my God.  The battle belongs to the Lord.

My Beloved, I was anxious, wondering how I could stand up against my own fears, weaknesses and temptations and do battle against the wiles of the enemy, the deceive.    As always, You answered me so beautifully.  Now that I have surrendered my life to You, the battle is Yours.  You will fight for me and with me and with Your help, I will triumph against the enemy.  Thank You!

My Beloved, the experience of the psalmist as expressed in this verse has also been mine, "The more worries and troubles assailed me the more You consoled me."  You are my anchor, my rock, my foothold, You are my peace and my consolation.  You are my joy, You are my fullness and my contentment.  You are my everything, You are my God.
