Isaiah 30:19-21, 23-26, Matthew 9:35---10:1, 5, 6-8, Psalm 147:1-6

Daily Mass Reading:  Isaiah 30:19-21, 23-26,
                                   Matthew 9:35---10:1, 5, 6-8,
                                    Psalm 147:1-6

Isaiah 30:19-21, 23-26

You will weep no more.  When You cry, He will listen; when He hears, He will answer.  When the Lord has given you the bread of anguish and the water of distress, He, your teacher will hide no longer.  Your own eyes will see Him, and your ear will listen to His words behind you; "This is the way, walk in it."

My Beloved, I thank You once again for speaking words of encouragement and consolation.  You are my God who saves and delivers me, heals and binds up my wounds.

Matthew 9:35---10:1, 5, 6-8

My Beloved, again Your words assure us how moved you are to pity because we are weak and often unable to help ourselves.  You are mercy and compassion and so You have give Your Church the authority to continue the work of healing, teaching and preaching that You Yourself did and which they witnessed and followed faithfully, handing down this same authority to all who are called and anointed.  Thank You.

Psalm 147:1-6

How good it is to sing to our God,
how sweet and befitting to praise him!
The Lord rebuilds Jerusalem;
he gathers the exiles of Israel;
he heals their broken hearts
and binds up their wounds.
He determines the number of stars,
he calls each of them by name.
The Lord is great and mighty in power;
his wisdom is beyond measure.
The Lord lifts up the humble,
but casts the wicked to the ground.
